In 2007, the Citroen C-Crosser crossover debuted on the European market. This car was a copy of the Mitsubishi Outlander model of the second generation and differed only in front and rear lighting design. Citroen C-Crosser (as well as another "twin" - Peugeot 4007) was produced at the Mitsubishi plant in Japan. In 2010, assembly of cars for the Russian market was launched in Kaluga.
In the European market, the Citroën was offered with a 2.4-liter petrol engine (170 hp) or a 2.2-liter turbodiesel with a power output of 156 hp, and in some countries, for example, in France, only diesel crossovers were on sale. In Russia, in addition to these power units Citroen C-Crosser also received a two-liter petrol engine, developing 147 liters. from.
For gasoline crossovers, as an alternative to the manual gearbox, a variator was offered, and for diesel versions - a six-speed robotic DCS transmission. The drive could be front or full, with a multi-disc clutch in the rear wheel drive. The car had versions with a five-seater and seven-seater saloon.
The production of the Citroen C-Crosser model was completed in the summer of 2012.
